Commissioned for the Mary and Eliza Freeman Center in Bridgeport, CT. I was asked to help in creating the visual language for one of the first freed black communities in America. In this piece I chose to depict Mary and Eliza Freeman who were the teachers, bankers, community organizers of this great community back in the 1820’s.
